Tenmat FEROFORM ™ BM Bearings

The FEROFORM range of composite materials are made from woven fibre bonded with resin. The range is tailored using different fibres and resins, along with self lubricating additives.

Both organic and synthetic fibres are used for the reinforcement of the resins. They are selected for their high modulus, stability in water and various chemicals, and for their high temperature capability. The resins are chosen for their good mechanical properties and high thermal and dimensional stability. The addition of selected friction modifiers such as oil, graphite and molybdenum disulphide enhances the wear properties and service life of the FEROFORM range. This enables them to be operated at higher speeds and loads than conventional materials.

FEROFORM grades possess strength, durability, dimensional stability, and excellent wear characteristics which makes them the material of choice in many applications.
